You would never have known it by the lack of coverage by the drive-by media, but on Sunday afternoon from 130pm-230pm pro-lifers participated in Life Chain 2007. The life chain consisted of a person within an arms reach of each other on the public sidewalk on 95th street from State Line Road to Quivira. Across the nation the Life Chain will occur, as October is Respect Life awareness month.
The number of witnesses who showed their dedication to support life humbled me. It rained midway through the event but we stood our watch and continued to pray and stand for life. In many ways perhaps the rain was God’s way of shedding a tear for the millions of aborted children. It was a wonderful afternoon and one that my family will not soon forget.
Naturally, a paper like the KC Star would not cover such an event where thousands participated. This paper was recognized by Planned Parenthood with a Maggie Award, named after founder Margaret Sanger, a eugenics supporter and Nazi sympathizer. Events like this is the primary reason that the Kansas Federalist was started, to get the real news out to the public.
