BP announces `giant' oil find in Gulf of Mexico
BP PLC said Wednesday that it had made a "giant" oil discovery in the Gulf of Mexico but had not yet determined the size and commercial potential of the find. The well, in Keathley Canyon block 102 about 250 miles (400 kms) southeast of Houston, is in 4,132 feet (1,259 meters) of water, the company said. The Tiber well was drilled to a total depth of 35,055 feet (10,685 meters), making it one of the deepest wells ever drilled by the oil and gas industry, BP said. BP has a 62 percent interest in Tiber, while Petrobras holds 20 percent and ConocoPhillips has 18 percent.
IRS to be Obamacare Watchdog
There's been a lot of discussion about the new and powerful federal agencies that would be created by the passage of a national health care bill. The Health Choices Administration, the Health Benefits Advisory Committee, the Health Insurance Exchange there are dozens in all. But if the plan envisioned by President Barack Obama and Congressional Democrats is enacted, the primary federal bureaucracy responsible for implementing and enforcing national health care will be an old and familiar one: the Internal Revenue Service. Under the Democrats' health care proposals, the already powerful — and already feared — IRS would wield even more power and extend its reach even farther into the lives of ordinary Americans, and the presidentially-appointed head of the new health care bureaucracy would have access to confidential IRS information about millions of individual taxpayers.
Congressman Broun warns of dictatorship
U.S. Rep. Paul Broun is again raising the specter of Democrats turning the United States into a totalitarian state. Broun, R-Athens, apparently has not changed his belief that President Obama may be a fascist since he made similar remarks in Augusta in November and then in an Associated Press interview. He told a meeting of the Morgan County Republicans on Wednesday night that Obama already has or will have the three things he needs to make himself a dictator: a national police force, gun control and control over the press. http://www.paulbroun.com/ to learn more about Congressman Paul Broun, MD.
On Facebook, MySpace? Obama's got your e-mail

Dealers Still Waiting For Clunker Cash
Auto makers will release their monthly sales reports Tuesday and they're expected to show the first year-to-year increase since 2007. While the Cash for Clunkers program is getting all the credit, local car dealers are still waiting for their cash. During the month long program, Billion Automotive sold close to a thousand vehicles but has only been reimbursed for 272 of them. Vern Eide sold over 200 cars and has only been paid for 27 of them, and that's fueling lots of concerns in the auto industry. (By the way folks did you know that if you participated in this program the cash is considered taxable income?)

White House czar urged 'resistance' against U.S.
President Obama's environmental adviser, Van Jones, was the main speaker at an anti-war rally that urged "resistance" against the U.S. government. The rally was sponsored by an organization associated with the Revolutionary Communist Party, which calls for the overthrow of the U.S. government and its replacement with a communist dictatorship. Jones, special adviser for green jobs, enterprise and innovation to the White House Council on Environmental Quality, is an admitted black nationalist and radical communist. In 2002, Jones was a keynote speaker at a rally at People's Park in Berkeley, Calif., to mark the national launch of Not In Our Name, a Maoist, terrorist-supporting, anti-war group founded by Revolutionary Communist Party.
Grover Norquist: Future Administration should open investigation into Stimulus
" Holder is making a decision that one administration should go back and second-guess another administration. Yes, it's political, but he's also opening the door...I think it's a good idea, I think that someday when we have a different Justice Department, people need to go back and look at how all of this money in the stimulus package was paid, and who it went to. And what about all those secret meetings that were never transparent about who was going to get what?"

Pandemic bill allows health authorities to enter homes, detain without warrant
A "pandemic response bill" currently making its way through the Massachusetts state legislature would allow authorities to forcefully quarantine citizens in the event of a health emergency, compel health providers to vaccinate citizens, authorize forceful entry into private dwellings and destruction of citizen property and impose fines on citizens for noncompliance. If citizens refuse to comply with isolation or quarantine orders in the event of a health emergency, they may be imprisoned for up to 30 days and fined $1,000 per day that the violation continues.

A new report from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has been roundly criticized since its release. Now, a new analysis of the 94-page documents finds the UN agency is calling for children to promote abortions across the globe. The analysis finds children are not only told about abortion and where to obtain one but encouraged to be trained to “advocate” the pro-abortion position.
Inhofe blasts Obama at Grove town hall
Right-thinking Americans can only hope the country will survive the next 16 months of the Obama administration until Republicans can regain control of Congress, U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe said Wednesday. “I never dreamed I would see an administration try to disavow all the things that have made this country different from all others,” Inhofe told more than 300 people at a town hall meeting in the Grove Community Center.
D.C. Archbishop Joins Black Pastors in Same-Sex "Marriage" Fight
One might call it the "new ecumenism," an example of solidarity between Christian denominations at its best: the Catholic Archbishop of Washington, D.C. has joined forces with local Christian ministers in the nation's capital to give strong support to a ballot initiative that would define marriage as the union of a man and a woman and stop the legalization of same-sex "marriage" in the District of Columbia. Bishop Harry Jackson of Beltsville's Hope Christian Church, fellow black Christian pastors, and members of the Stand4Marriage Coalition D.C., submitted a ballot initiative on Monday to preserve the traditional definition of marriage to the D.C. Board of Elections and Ethics (BOEE) for approval. The initiative declares: "Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid and recognized in the District of Columbia." Jackson and other black pastors in the federal district have led the charge from the outset against the D.C. City Council's plan to legalize same-sex "marriage" by incremental legislation. Now Catholic Archbishop Donald Wuerl has entered the fray, pledging the active support of the Catholic Church in D.C. to advance the marriage initiative. The Catholic Archbishop released a letter to the 300 Catholic priests of the Archdiocese emphasizing the importance of marriage and defending against attempts to redefine the institution.

Healthcare Joint Statement by Archbishop Naumann and Bishop Finn
The justified reaction to the significant defects in our current health care policies is to say, “Something must be done.” Many believe: “We have to change health care in America.” Despite the many flaws with our current policies, change itself does not guarantee improvement. Many of the proposals, which have been promoted would diminish the protection of human life and dignity and shift our health care costs and delivery to a centralized government bureaucracy. Centralization carries the risk of a loss of personal responsibility, reduction in personalized care for the sick and an expanded bureaucracy that in the end leads to higher costs.

Incredible! Kansas SRS, Dept. of Aging collecting provider names for Union
Don Jordan, Secretary of the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services, sent a letter to an unknown list of Home and Community Based Service (HCBS) providers recently asking for information on behalf of the Service Employees International Union/SEIU including: attendants’ names, addresses, and telephone numbers. Is this collection of names by Kansas government for SEIU a payback for a $100,000 contribution to Kathleen Sebelius’ Bluestem Fund PAC in Oct 2008?

Bianchino home on Washburn defense
Ben Bianchino played two positions last year for Washburn's football team, but he felt like he didn't have a true position. Bianchino is back with the defense full-time for his senior season and his performance in the first game reflects his attitude. The 6-foot-5, 270-pound senior started at defensive end and made five tackles with two sacks in the Ichabods' 27-14 win at Colorado School of Mines. Ichabods coach Craig Schurig gives Bianchino credit for his continued work ethic. "He trained really hard," Schurig said. "He's the strongest he's ever been and in his best condition, so he's ready for a great senior season." Ben is the son of Bernie and Marilyn Bianchino of Overland Park.
The white polluters and the white environmentals are essentially steering poison into the people of colored communities." --

Gospel - Lk 4:38-44
38 And Jesus rising up out of the synagogue, went into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever, and they besought him for her. 39 And standing over her, he commanded the fever, and it left her. And immediately rising, she ministered to them. 40 And when the sun was down, all they that had any sick with divers diseases, brought them to him. But he laying his hands on every one of them, healed them. 41 And devils went out from many, crying out and saying: Thou art the Son of God. And rebuking them he suffered them not to speak, for they knew that he was Christ. 42 And when it was day, going out he went into a desert place, and the multitudes sought him, and came unto him: and they stayed him that he should not depart from them. 43 To whom he said: To other cities also I must preach the kingdom of God: for therefore am I sent. 44 And he was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.
To Congress, The 5 Pledges are you In or Out?
By Glenn Beck
1. I believe in a balanced budget and therefore will vote for a freeze in government spending until that goal is realized.
2. I believe government should not increase the financial burden on its citizenry during a difficult economic time therefore I will oppose all tax increases until our economy has rebounded.
3. I believe more than four decades of US dependence on foreign oil is a travesty, therefore I will support an energy plan that calls for immediately increasing usage of all domestic resources including nuclear energy, natural gas and coal as necessary.
4. I believe in the sovereignty and security of our country and therefore will support measures to close our borders except for designated immigration points so we will know who is entering and why. I will vehemently oppose any measure giving another country, the United Nations, or any other entity power over US citizens.
5. I believe the United States of America is the greatest country on earth and therefore will not apologize for policies or actions, which have served to free more and feed more people around the world than any other nation on the planet.
If your politician doesn't believe, support or reflect these beliefs in their actions then they aren't supporting you. More importantly, they aren't supporting, protecting or defending the Constitution. Send this to your Congressman today!
