Imagine a country, which limits academic freedom. Imagine university professors and academicians who believe that Darwinism is a theory and only that, a theory, not fact. Imagine that as a researcher you find that some things in life cannot be answered scientifically and that a higher power may have actually had a hand in our universe’s creation. Imagine, if you believed the last two sentences, spoke out and/or tried to have academic papers published suggesting this, your tenure as a professor would be in jeopardy. That’s the background surrounding Ben Stein’s, “Expelled.”

Well, those things mentioned above have happened. They happened during the Fascist Nazism of Adolf Hitler’s Germany, but it’s also happening in today’s Fascist Liberalism here in the United States. “Expelled,” shows the empirical data that US professors are being terminated and punished for not following the liberal line. And what is that line? That Darwinism is the law of the scientific land, not just a theory.

As William Dembski of the Baptist Press wrote, “Expelled documents assaults by a secular elite on the academic freedom of Intelligent Design supporters. Not surprisingly, the secular elite are displeased to have their dirty deeds exposed. Our society separates sharply between elite and popular culture. Elite culture regards Darwinian evolution as the greatest idea ever conceived and as an ideological weapon for keeping in check a popular culture that overwhelmingly believes in God.” For secular progressive elitists the notion that God exists is an insult and this movie smacks in the face of reason to them. But then again, secular progressives are missing the one thing that you have to have to support intelligent design. Faith! Ben Stein’s, “Expelled” hits the mark and is a must see.
