Abortion: It’s Time to Step Up to the Plate
I have found myself each and every year more committed to the pro-life cause. I am very blessed to serve as the chairman of the board for the Kansas for Life, Kansas City region. Like me there are many people just committed to the pro-life cause.
But quite frankly it’s time for us to take it up a notch. Nearly 1,500 African-American children are killed each day by the heinous act of abortion. 3 out of 5 pregnant African-American women will abort their child. Since 1973 there has been over 13 million Black children killed and their precious mothers victimized by the U.S. abortion industry. It is literally a black genocide. So what do we do? In the 1850’s, abolitionists in the Kansas Territory stepped up to the plate and said enough is enough. They help make Kansas free and then a Nation free. Are you prepared to be a modern-day abolitionist?
I am asking each and every one of you to take some time, say a prayer, and to give. At KFL, I recently asked the board to consider a special initiative to fund our pro-life work specifically in the African-American community here in Kansas City. Now, I need to step up to the plate and fund this project.
In the coming months, I am going to personally donate money to get this project rolling. And to accomplish it, I am going to do it through a weight loss program. You see, I need to lose some pounds and a great incentive to lose the weight would be for African-American children that are at risk through abortion.
So, I will donate $10 per pound lost to the KFL’s Black American’s for Life Project. My hope is to lose 50 pounds and get back to my old “fighting weight.” Here’s where you all come into the picture. Will you donate money to this project like me? If we work hard, and I lose the weight, we can fund this project for the entire year. If Just 60 people donating $10 per pound gave to this program, we can raise $30,000 and we can make a difference in someone’s life. If not $10, maybe another amount works for you. Or maybe you will want to follow this lead and start your own weight loss program and asks friends for donations. If you choose this course just let me know and we can start a program sheet to track the gifts.
It makes me wonder if 3 out of 5 black children are aborted, then just imagine the vast talent of people that we could have had in the world. Was one of those children a future Crispus Attucks, George Washington Carver, Frederick Douglass, Martin Luther King, Colin Powell, J.C. Watts, Michael Steele, Condi Rice, Thomas Sowell, Star Parker, Walter E. Williams, Clarence Thomas, Matt Louis Urban, or Bill Cosby?
It’s time to step up to the plate!
Send me an email with your intentions and once a month I will update everyone on my weight loss status. All you need to do is email me with your pledges or if you wish to start your own program, just email of your intentions. We will start the weight lose event on April 1st!
