Hundreds of Thousands March for Life
Story
Hundreds of thousands of pro-life activists gathered on the national mall in the nation's capital yesterday standing in the cold on a cloudy day with a slight rain. The weather however did nothing to dampen the spirits of the vast crowd nor the political and spiritual leaders who addressed them prior to the march. March officials estimated the numbers at over 225,000 with Capitol Police estimates closer to 500,000 with no major incidents reported.

Abortion Causing 'Black Genocide

During America's commemoration of Black History Month, some pro-life activists are charging that legalized abortion has led to a "black genocide" of more than 14 million unborn African-American babies. They condemn, in particular, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

Dr. Alberto Hodari spoke to students at Wayne State in Detroit about his career performing abortions. In his speech, Hodari told students that doctors have a license to lie to their patients. Also in the speech, Hodari talks about going to Mexico to do experiments on pregnant women that were outlawed in the United States. He invited students to come watch an abortion he performed and he also spoke about how little he washed between abortions because it chafed his hands.

Don't Tap the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, But Tap Elsewhere

In response to high oil prices, some Members of Congress are urging the President to release oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR). This would be a mistake and would not significantly affect the long-term oil market. The SPR was designed to be an emergency oil supply should foreign sources be cut off, not as a means of providing short-term relief to energy consumers. Meanwhile, Congress continues to keep off limits domestic sources that could potentially produce 100 times more oil than the SPR contains. To address high oil and gasoline prices, Members of Congress should stop wasting time on SPR grandstanding and focus instead on expanding access to domestic sources of oil.
